| Peter's original style of painting seem to be rooted in his interest in computer graphics. His images evolve from a computer screen and once designed, find their way to the canvas. Peter uses technology to play with colour, adjust the size, direct the composition and create visual effects; only when he is pleased with the results of his virtual painting does he pick up a brush. Although he paints in accordance to his pre-invented image, he admits that "there are several unknowns that can happen between the digital studies and the painted result". Peter is fascinated with The Sistine Chapel frescos and decorations, and admires classical religious paintings, however, his images do not pursue religious themes. He is rather inspired by portraiture and chooses interesting ways of presenting the face. His images are striking, partially due to the use of colours but also due to the large canvas Peter often chooses to paint on.
